Chocolate Pecan Babka

Rich brioche-like bread rolled with chocolate glaze and toasted pecans. It is twisted and laid into the baking mold, creating layers of chocolate throughout the loaf. Warm for five minutes at 325°F.

These trays of 10-12 slightly sweet wafers make an excellent accompaniment to afternoon tea or simply enjoyed on their own. The following flavors are available:
Chocolate Wafers: Thin, crisp and slightly sweet chocolate wafers that are perfect for enjoying with espresso or your favorite ice cream. Crumiri Wafers: These buttery semolina wafers are modeled on a regional specialty of Piemonte. They feature Shepherd’s Grain semolina flour and are sprinkled with sesame seeds before baking.
Pecan Wafers These deep brown wafers feature Shepherd’s Grain low-gluten flour, roasted pecans and a finishing sprinkle of sugar.
Walnut Anise Wafers: We make this thin version of our Walnut Anise Biscotti made with Shepherd’s Grain low-gluten flour. Their slight sweetness balances nicely with the nuttiness of ground walnuts and anise.
